Pros and cons of aTimeLogger app for iPhone and iPad

aTimeLogger app good for

Very useful. Easy to use and track time spent on individual projects. Great for anyone who needs to track time spent on different projects
Love the application! I am currently a student and it helps me keeping track of my time. The interface is beautiful and well organized!
The app is really great. As a freelancer I am missing a very important feature though: The possibility to define my price per hour or per day. By this, I the app could immediately show what I earned with the spent time and I could use the app as a professional tool.
After all the reading, downloading and testing of other apps, one is almost in tears from gratitude at finding one works well, does what it says, is comprehensive, well-designed, pleasant to look at, pretty much intuitive, and has an instructions section! You are NOT stuck with the wood "skin" or background shown; others are available. (To eliminate non-necessary visual input, I myself prefer grey.) You choose and invent your own categories, and choose the icons for them, and choose their colours, too. You can group (groups are explained, if explanation is needed, at the website: theyre akin to folders; access that option by tapping plus-sign at uupper right on Categories tab). Logs can display as a list, or coloured pie chart. There are many, intuitive features and refinements--yet the app is so well designed that it all seems incredibly SIMPLE; one never feels overwhelmed. All this, and its FREE! And, with the theme and colours I chose, I find it pleasant to look at (which helps, because Im logging often). Thanks to the developers!
The screenshots dont do it justice. You can pick colours for each category, and there are other themes. It works just as well as one that I paid $10 for! Like Better than that other app: I can pick Icons AND colours for each category. They look like Buttons! Easier to find the one I want (and all the charts use the colours you pick). There are several ways to sort (including manually), but I love the one that auto-sorts by frequency, so the ones I use more often are easier to find at the top!! Update: The developer answered my suggestions email and told me I can do this by shaking, so never mind:Like Less than that other app: I have to go into the Settings to change between Log view shown with entries Grouped by category, or Ungrouped chronologically. Oh well. Im staying with this one. The Developers site looks like he is still making it better. I wish I could Search across all the comments Ive written, but that other app couldnt, either, so that doesnt go against this one.
it does what it say it do and +, very polis app, it makes my iPhone more complet.

Some bad moments

I use it daily for work .. I always forget if I punched in or not
Great user interface. Suggestion: provide additional icon choices for activities
This app is great for tracking just about anything. It provides a stop watch function but you can also go in and manually add the times. It also allows you to create your own categories and looks at totals by the day week and month. I use it to track the amount of time I exercise, do research, and other activities. I have four suggested improvements. 1) it would be great if the reports function generated a histogram or a line chart. 2) it would be nice to be able to program reminders or targets so the app would be able to tell how much of an activity you have to do per day to reach your target. 3) it would be nice to get an interval reminder that the app is still tracking your activity just in case you forget to turn it off. 4) a pause would help too.
Id been looking for a way to track how I spend my day, and this is the one-stop solution towards that!
Sooo helpful! Ive tried several other apps for tracking time. The reason I like this 1 best is bcuz its so simple. U just choose the button of the activity, u want, touch the icon to start timing, touch another when ur done. I like that all the activity icons r on 1 page. Dont have to do any scrolling. Other ones I tried had more steps, scrolling, keying u had to do, etc. Id fall off from using them b/cuz it was too much of a pain. The only thing I wish cud b better is if there was a better way to go back and edit, like if i forget to turn off a timer or sumthin. Overall, great app! Helps me to get a lot more done.
Use it for work everyday. Simple, quick to use, does what is needed without clutter.
